On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, an explosion occurred in the area of ​​the city of Dzhankoy in the annexed Crimea, Russian channels on Telegram reported. Near the city there is an important Russian military airport, where, among others, three helicopter squadrons are stationed.

The Russian Telegram channel Astra published photos of the burning object. As he wrote, this is most likely the infrastructure of the military airport in the area of ​​the city of Dzhankoy, where the explosion occurred earlier.

Residents reported that explosions could be heard even before the air alarm was announced.

The 39th helicopter regiment, part of the 27th Mixed Air Division, as well as three air squadrons with Mi-8, Mi-35, Mi-28 and Ka-52 are stationed at the airport. There are also helicopters of the border service of the Federal Security Service of Russia.
