Dorota Arciszewska-Mielewczyk, MP from Law and Justice, was dismissed from the supervisory board of Energa Operator. Agnieszka Pomaska, an MP from the Civic Coalition, announced this on social media. Arciszewska-Mielewczyk disappeared from the energy company's website.

Agnieszka Pomaska ​​announced the dismissal of Dorota Arciszewska-Mielewczyk on Monday afternoon. Arciszewska-Mielewczyk is an MP PIS. In the last parliamentary elections, she obtained 11,766 votes, she ran from constituency number 26, which includes, among others, Gdynia and Słupsk. Thanks to this result, Arciszewska-Mielewczyk returned to the Sejm after a four-year break.

“MP Dorota Arciszewska-Mielewczyk dismissed from the supervisory board of Energa Operator. She claimed that she could sit in a state-owned company and be an MP at the same time. Fortunately, the new management board of @EnergaSA had a different opinion,” Pomaska ​​wrote on the X website.

The name of the PiS MP is no longer among the members of the supervisory board on the Energa Operator website.

Dorota Arciszewska-Mielewczyk at Energa Operator

In her last declaration of assets, dated November 2023, Arciszewska-Mielewczyk announced that she has been a member of the supervisory board of Energa Operator since May 13, 2022. This means that for about half a year (from November 2023 to May 2024) she combined her parliamentary mandate with sitting on the board of the daughter company of Energa, belonging to the Orlen Group.

Meanwhile, according to the Act on the exercise of the mandate of a deputy and senator, parliamentarians “may not be members of management or control and audit authorities or commercial representatives of entrepreneurs with the participation of state or municipal legal persons or entrepreneurs in which such persons participate.” If the election or appointment took place before the commencement of the mandate – as in the case of a PiS MP – “the MP and senator is obliged to resign from the position or function.” “If a deputy or senator fails to resign from a position or function, he or she loses it by operation of law after three months from the date of taking the oath (…)” – we read in the act.

However, this did not happen in the case of Arciszewska-Mielewczyk.
