Sovereign Poland MP, deputy minister in the government of the United Right, Jacek Dekora, after winning the match between Poland and Germany, suggested in social media that it was a victory over Donald Tusk. The former president of PZPN referred to his comment. “What is this moron?” asked Zbigniew Boniek. The politician’s reaction was not long in coming.
The Polish team won on Friday at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw the Germans 1:0. It was only for the second time in history that our football team triumphed in a match against our western neighbours. The meeting, although friendly, aroused many emotions. As it turned out, not only sports.
A short circuit on the line Dekor-Boniek
After the match, many politicians congratulated the Polish national team on their victory. Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment, MP of Sovereign Poland, Jacek Dekora, took the opportunity to present his view on the leader of the strongest opposition group. Party representative Zbigniew Ziobrowhich is part of the United Right, wrote “Polska-Tusk 1:0”.
Zbigniew Boniek, the former president of the Polish Football Association, reacted to his entry the next day. Football legend, 80 times representative of Poland, currently UEFA vice-president, asked: “Excuse me, who is this moron?”
Ornament threatened to sue
In response, Dekora asked if Boniek’s entry was the “official position” of the European football headquarters. He announced that he would complain about Boniek’s “behavior”.
The politician did not end there. Initially, he tried to joke: “Boniek is harsh on Tusk. Shock.” In the next entry, he stated that Boniek is “an outstanding footballer, a hopeless coach and a pathetic president”. He added: “And you have no idea about politics.”
He shared his opinion that the leader of the Civic Platform “led a pro-German policy” and invited Boniek to a political debate, if he “has the courage”.
Giertych: I’m not offended by calling me a big guy
The exchange of views aroused great interest among Internet users and many comments. One of them was posted by a politician and lawyer Roman Giertychwho first rated “Boniek vs moron 1:0”, and then appealed to Dekora: “I see that you are constantly attacking Zbigniew Boniek (…) Please don’t be offended! For example, I’m not offended for calling me a big guy.”
