Lack of rainfall, high air temperature and cloudless sky are the factors that make the fire risk in Polish forests very high. If you are going on a trip to the forest, do not forget to follow basic safety rules.

During the May weekend in the forest, we should be especially careful and considerate. The occurrence of so-called fire weather does not only mean a high risk of fire (even from a cigarette butt), but also its rapid spread.
Fire danger on Thursday
The map published by the Meteorological Modeling Center of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management shows that a high and extreme fire risk is expected to occur in most of Poland on Thursday.
Experts forecast extreme fire risk for some voivodeships: Pomeranian, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Lubuskie, Greater Poland, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Masovian Voivodeship, Lublin Province, Świętokrzyskie, Łódź, Lower Silesia, Opole Province, Lesser Poland, Podkarpackie, Silesian, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
