IMGW has issued first degree warnings against freezing precipitation and strong winds, which can gust up to 85 kilometers per hour. There are also snow alerts in Lower Silesia. An increase in snow cover of 15-20 centimeters is forecast there.

The weather forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first degree warnings.

IMGW alerts – freezing precipitation

Alerts IMGW of the first degree against freezing precipitation apply in the following voivodeships:

Greater Polandin eastern poviats;

Kuyavian-Pomeranianin the south-east of the voivodship;

warmińsko-mazurskieexcept for the following poviats: Braniewo, Elbląg and Elbląg;

Silesianin the north of the voivodeship;

Subcarpathianin the north of the province.

Light precipitation of freezing drizzle or rain is forecast, causing black ice.

Alerts in part of Warmia i Mazurka will be valid until 14:00 on Sunday and in other regions until 07:00 on Monday.

IMGW alerts – strong wind

Strong wind warnings were issued in the following provinces:

Pomeranian, in coastal counties, where they will be valid from 1 am to 3 pm on Monday;

West Pomeranian, in northern counties, where they will be in force from 1 p.m. on Monday 2 on Tuesday;

Lower Silesia, in poviats located in the south of the region, where they will apply from 9 a.m. on Monday to 3 on Tuesday.

Strong wind with an average speed of 35-45 km/h, gusts up to 80-85 km/h, from the south-west and west is forecast.

IMGW alerts – heavy snowfall

Heavy snowfall warnings are also in effect. IMGW issued them in the province Lower Silesiain the districts of Kłodzko, Karkonosze and Jelenia Gora and Lwówek.

In areas above 700 meters above sea level, snowfall is forecast, which will increase the snow cover by 15-20 centimeters.

Alerts will be valid from 8 a.m. on Monday to midnight from Monday to Tuesday.

The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life.
