Germany’s Vice-Chancellor and Economy Minister Robert Habeck said in an interview with ARD television on Sunday that “it is not out of the question” that Germany would transfer Leopard tanks to Ukraine. Habeck also stated that the “dynamics” of German support for Kiev “will continue as long as the war continues.”

After recently announced by Germanythat they will supply Ukraine with Marder infantry fighting vehicles, there are calls for sending Leopards as well.

In an interview, Habeck announced further military assistance to Ukraine and did not rule out the supply of tanks.
He noted the high dynamics in decisions regarding the supply of weapons – from grenade launchers to Marders. “I think this dynamic will continue as long as the war continues,” Habeck said. There is coordination with partner countries, adaptation to the situation on the battlefield and “this is how we will proceed” – said the politician the Green party.

Earlier, Habeck’s party colleague, Bundestag vice-president Katrin Goering-Eckardt told the Funke media group in the context of helping Ukraine: – We should do and deliver everything that is possible. This also applies to Leopard tanks.
