Police officers from Głogów noticed a person whose clothes were on fire. They ran to the man, extinguishing the fire and simultaneously calling a nearby medical team. They also had to intervene in the building, evacuating about 50 people. Everything was recorded by a police uniform camera.
– The men's condition was serious and directly threatened his life. After securing the burns and implementing pharmacotherapy, police medics handed the man over to the systemic medical rescue team to transport him to the hospital – says Junior Asp. Paweł Noga from the Lower Silesian police.. – The police's actions were two-pronged. While medics were treating the burned man, the rest of the police secured and illuminated the scene, and also evacuated 50 residents of the multi-family building where they located the fire, he adds.
The source of the fire and thick smoke was in the basement of the building. After the firefighters finished the operation, the residents were able to safely return to their apartments.
Further activities in this case are being carried out by police officers from Głogów. The cause is already known.
– The man started a fire while in the basement. Then his clothes started burning. When he was moving around the rooms, officers noticed him – explains Junior Asp. Paweł Noga.
Apart from him, no one was hurt in the incident.
The incident took place in mid-April this year, during security at a football match. Now the police have released a recording of the action.
