Passers-by alerted the police. Police findings show that the 36-year-old attacked an unknown boy on the street, pulled him, beat him and kicked him all over his body. The 12-year-old was taken to hospital. The officers saw the man described by witnesses a few streets away.
Police officers from Grodzisk Mazowiecki were called to an aggressive man. “On site, they found a person who informed them that he had witnessed an adult assailant pulling, beating and kicking all over the body of a minor boy on a nearby street. The aggressor, stopped by other people from further harming the child, fled the scene,” she said in a statement. Staff aspirant Katarzyna Zych from the District Police Headquarters in Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
The police reached the injured 12-year-old boy and called for medical help. The child and her mother were taken to hospital for further tests. According to the officers, there were no permanent or serious injuries.

The police identified other witnesses to the incident and began an intensive search for the attacker in the area. “A few streets away, after a short chase, they detained a man identified as the perpetrator of beating the boy. The intoxicated 36-year-old was taken to a police cell,” Zych added.
The police collected evidence, including CCTV footage, and forwarded it to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. Based on it, the detainee was charged under Art. 160 §1, 157 §2 and 217 §1 of the Penal Code. These provisions concern, respectively: exposing a person to a direct threat of loss of life or serious damage to health, causing impairment of the functioning of a body organ or health disorder lasting no longer than seven days, and hitting a person or otherwise violating his or her bodily integrity.
As part of preventive measures, the 36-year-old was placed under police supervision “with a ban on contacting and approaching indicated persons.” The police informed that due to the fact that his illegal behavior was of a hooligan nature, he faced a penalty of 4.5 years in prison.
