IMGW issued first degree meteorological warnings. Strong gusts of wind will be a threat. Check which regions have alarms.
Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first-level warnings on a three-level, ascending scale.
IMGW alerts of the first degree – strong wind
Alerts IMGW against strong winds were issued in the following provinces:
– Subcarpathianin the counties: Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok, Krosno, loom and Jasło;
– Lesser Polandin the districts of: Gorlice, Nowy Sącz, Wadowice and Sucha;
– Silesianin the counties: Cieszyn, Bielski, Bielsko-Biala and Żywiecki.
A strong wind with an average speed of 35-45 km/h, gusts up to 85 km/h, is forecast from the south.
In the east of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, alerts will be valid until 10 a.m. on Monday, and the remaining warnings will expire at 10 p.m. 12 on the same day.
What is the first degree IMGW meteorological warning
The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area where the threat occurs, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.
