IMWM warns against strong winds. On Tuesday, the northern part of the country will once again be hit by violent gusts, in places gusting to speeds of up to 90 kilometers per hour. Check where the weather will be dangerous.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first, second and third degree meteorological warnings.

IMWM alerts of the second degree – strong wind

Orange alerts against strong winds apply in voivodeships West Pomeranian Voivodeshipin counties: ŚwinoujścieKamieński, Gryfice, Kołobrzeg, Koszalin, Koszalin and Sławno and Pomeranian in counties: SłupskSłupsk, Lębork, Wejherowo and Puck.

According to the Institute, strong winds with an average speed of up to 55 kilometers per hour, with gusts of up to 90 km/h, are forecast from the west. The warnings will come into effect at 10 a.m. on Monday and expire at 10 a.m. 20 on the same day.

IMWM alerts of the first degree – strong wind

Forecasters also issued first-degree strong wind warnings. Valid in the following voivodeships: West Pomeranian Voivodeship (counties: Police, Goleniów, SzczecinGryfino, Pyrzycki, Stargard, Drawsko, Szczecinecki, Białogard, Łobez), Pomeranian (except counties where level 2 alerts apply), and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (counties: Braniewo, ElblągElbląg).

As reported, strong winds with an average speed of up to 40 km/h, gusting to approximately 75 km/h, blowing from the west are forecast in these regions.

Alerts will be active on Monday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., only in Warmia and Mazury – from 13-21 on the same day.

The second level warning predicts the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena causing significant material losses and a threat to health and life. Dangerous phenomena or the effects of their occurrence significantly limit business activity. Expect disruptions to your daily functioning. Great caution is recommended, it is necessary to monitor the weather forecasts and developments. Follow all recommendations issued by emergency services in the event of an emergency. Adjust your plans to weather conditions.

The first level warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life.
