Jarosław Kaczyński in Chełm. The PiS president on the most important elections after 1989, the European Union and the fight for sovereignty

Speaking in Chełm Jaroslaw Kaczynski pointed out that elections parliamentary elections are fast approaching.

“You have to understand what their stake is, what it’s all about. It is often said that these are the most important elections after 1989, but it has been said many times that these elections, specific elections, are the most important. This time there is really a basis for it, because compared to the situation four or eight years ago, the situation has changed a lot, in many respects, emphasized Kaczyński. As he said, “today the question of what’s next is extremely important and may decide for a long time about the fate of our country, about the fate of our society, simply about the fate of Poles.”

President PIS He also pointed out what matters, in his opinion, are the most important.

– First, our business safety. Because it is the foundation of everything. If there’s no security, if it’s like na Ukrainethen all other matters lose their validity – argued Kaczyński.

– Secondly, the Polish issue economybut also the related issue of justice from a true, fair distribution, he stressed. He pointed out the third key issue sovereignty.

– The fourth thing is shape of our public life and, more broadly, even social, of our culture, also of this political culture, what is it all supposed to look like, is it supposed to be this fight all the time and this fight using sometimes very dirty methods or maybe we will reach a moment when it will all end – he said president of PiS. He noted that this is “the fourth issue, although not the least important.”

Kaczyński talked about how public life in Poland should look like. – Is this supposed to be eight stars, all this rudeness, this outpouring of all the worst, or is this supposed to be a policy based on human misery? – He was asking. He accused the opposition for exploiting cases of women’s deaths in connection with childbirth, which, he argued, had nothing to do with politics.

The PiS president reported that “7-10 women die annually due to pregnancy, some complications, sometimes in childbirth, and sometimes even earlier.” – When they were in charge, it was up to 15, but I don’t blame them for anything, because it’s just a matter of chance. In Poland, this percentage in relation to the total number of women giving birth is very small. This is one case in 19.8 thousand births, which is very little. IN Germany it’s one in 12,000, and it’s much worse in the United States,’ he said.

As he added, “every such case is used today.” – Every such human misfortune, which has absolutely nothing to do with us, with Law and Justice, with the Constitutional Tribunal. There is talk of serial killers of women, of hands covered in blood, including my hands that are supposed to be covered in blood. This is crossing all boundaries. This has to end. Public life must take place within a certain framework. This framework is set by culture. Polish culture does not tolerate this kind of thing. This is foreign, this is from the outside, said Kaczyński.

Speaking about sovereignty, he said that “at the moment in the European Union, in which we want to be, processes are taking place that we cannot look at calmly”. – The law is broken all the time in the EU. The Union is based on treaties that are now routinely violated by the European Commission and the CJEU, said the president of Law and Justice. In his opinion, a “European project” is currently being implemented in the EU, consisting in building a single state within the Union. He added that it is not about the federalization of Europe, but about the concentration of power in Brussels. – And who has the most influence in Brussels? Right, Germany. We would have to go from under one shoe from the east to another shoe from the west, said Kaczyński.

He pointed to the issue of forests, on which decisions – as he said – Brussels wants to make.

– This is our property. And with property comes our freedom. The fact that we can safely enter the forest is not so everywhere, in many countries forests are in the hands of private individuals or corporations and entry is forbidden. It is very rare to find a forest that you can easily enter. We have this freedom, we go mushroom picking, a huge number of Poles go mushroom picking, we go there to rest, to go for a walk for various purposes. This is part of our freedom and we will not let this freedom be taken away from us, said President Kaczyński. As he said, it is necessary to fight for Poland to be able to govern itself, otherwise “we will be people of the third category”. He stated that none of our neighbors, “both from the east and from the west”, wanted Poland to be strong and rich. – We want to be a sovereign state. We can give some of our sovereignty to the EU, but there is a rule that the EU acts within the framework that has been granted to it. This rule is routinely broken and this government will fight hard against it. And you can already see that this fight can bring results – said Jarosław Kaczyński.
