A 42-year-old Lithuanian citizen died in an accident on the A2 motorway in Wielkopolska. The police, under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office, are explaining what exactly happened on the road. Preliminary findings show that the man first caused the collision, and then left his car and started walking towards Poznań. – He was walking along the emergency lane, and from this lane he rushed straight under the oncoming truck – inform the officers.
As the press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Konin told PAP, asp. Sebastian Wiśniewski, the service received the accident report a few minutes before 11 p.m. on Monday. The accident occurred on the 246th kilometer of the A2 motorway. – A 42-year-old citizen of Lithuania, on the 246th kilometer of the A2 motorway, crashed into an oncoming truck tractor with a semi-trailer, which was driven by a 29-year-old resident of the Poznań district. The man who got under the oncoming truck died on the spot. The body was secured for autopsy by decision of the prosecutor, the policeman informed.

Police: a moment earlier he led to a collision, he was walking towards Poznań
The truck driver was sober. The police took blood from him for further testing for the possible presence of other drugs. Wiśniewski said that a moment before the fatal accident, in almost the same place, a 42-year-old Lithuanian citizen caused a collision – he did not exercise due care and crashed into the rear of the car in front of him.
– Immediately after this incident, the 42-year-old ran out of the car and started walking towards Poznań. He was walking along the emergency lane, and from this lane he rushed straight under the oncoming truck – pointed out the policeman. The circumstances of the event are explained in detail.
