The Tricity bypass is blocked in both directions, even until 3 p.m. All because of a truck accident.
The accident on S7 occurred at 8.30 between Karwiny and Chwarzno.
According to the officer on duty of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways in Gdańsk, Tomasz Haluch, the driver of the tow truck carrying the boom lost control of the vehicle and hit the barriers. The truck broke through to the other side and blocked traffic on S7 in both directions. One person was injured in the accident – the driver.
The road is still completely blocked
Jolanta Grunert, press officer of the Gdynia police, said that the road is still completely blocked and disruptions may last up to 15. According to her, a detour towards Gdynia is possible through the exit at Karwiny, and towards Gdańsk through the exit at Chwarzno. “Police officers are working at the scene of the accident to explain the exact causes and circumstances of the incident,” she said.
