Over a thousand comments were collected during public consultations on the revision of the National Reconstruction Plan, informed Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, Minister of Funds and Regional Policy. She added that two KPO components gained the most interest: smart mobility and green energy transformation.

“The public consultations on the revision of the KPO, which we have just completed, enjoyed great interest from many entities – local governments, private individuals, non-governmental organizations and the business community. During them, we collected over 1,000 comments from interested parties,” Pełczyńska-Nałęcz said.

Two KPO components with the greatest interest

She added that two KPO components gained the most interest. The first is green, intelligent mobility. The second is the green energy transformation, or, as the minister stated, “everything that is a very important element of the KPO and, on the other hand, an important direction of development changes.” The statement from the Ministry of Funds stated that among all the collected comments and recommendations, the following were taken into account: those related to health care: in terms of modernization of the infrastructure of medical entities, which will include highly specialized regional hospitals and clinical research support centers, also in small centers. Comments regarding the agricultural sector were also taken into account – regarding support for the so-called agriculture 4.0 (a modern, energy- and resource-efficient way of conducting agricultural activities) and support for local government units by transferring, from a loan to a grant area, financing for centers providing long-term and geriatric care in district hospitals. “The MFiPR will soon prepare a consultation report, which will be available on the KPO website. It will be attached to the formal application for the revision of the KPO, which, after approval by the Council of Ministers, is to be sent to the European Commission on April 30 this year,” it was reported. message.

Applications for further payments from KPO

On Tuesday, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz announced that the ministry wants to submit applications for further payments from the KPO after the holidays, so that further funds will be received by the end of this year. She added that we can get a maximum of EUR 10 billion, but it will probably be less, because payments from the second and third applications will depend on the advancement of the investment, and Poland is lagging behind in this respect. Under the KPO, Poland is to receive EUR 59.8 billion (PLN 268 billion), including EUR 25.27 billion (PLN 113.28 billion) in the form of subsidies and EUR 34.54 billion (PLN 154.81 billion) in the form of preferential loans. In line with EU goals, a significant part of the KPO budget is to be allocated to climate goals (46.6%), digital transformation (21.3%), as well as social reforms (22.3%).
