In the village of Gąsiorów in Łęczycki district (Łódź province), a school bus fell into a ditch and could not get out of it. The guardian and the driver broke a window in the vehicle and evacuated 28 children before the arrival of the services. According to the fire department, two children reported feeling unwell, one of them was taken to the hospital for observation. The rest of the youth went to school by replacement bus.
The incident took place on a municipal road in Gąsiorów near Łęczyca. Firefighters were alerted to a school bus that had driven into a roadside ditch.

– After the fire brigade units arrived at the scene, it turned out that the school bus fell into the ditch so that it could not get out of it – describes junior brigadier Jędrzej Pawlak, press officer of the provincial commander of the State Fire Service in Łódź. He adds: – The guardian and the bus driver broke the window in the vehicle and safely evacuated 28 children. Two children reported feeling unwell, one of them was taken to the hospital for observation, Pawlak said.
The rest of the children were taken to school by a replacement bus. Five fire engines were at the scene.
