“It is with great regret and sadness that we inform you that Leonard Pietraszak – an outstanding theater, film and television actor, a long-time member of our association, has passed away” – the Association of Polish Stage Artists announced today. “Always helpful, kind, with great intuition and sensitivity. He was not only a great Artist but above all an extremely good Man. He created many unforgettable theater and film roles for which the audience adored him. His departure is a huge loss for Polish culture. we missed it very much…” – write colleagues, members of ZASP.

The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage recalls the outstanding roles of the deceased. “A wide audience remembered him thanks to the excellent incarnations of Dr. Karol Stelmach in ‘Czterdziestolatek’ or Gustaw Kramer in the cult ‘Vabank’ and ‘Vabank II’,” reads the ministry’s profile.

Colleagues say goodbye to Leonard Pietraszak

“Beloved Leonard Pietraszak, our wonderful colleague and friend of our Foundation, is dead” – says farewell to his colleague from the stage, Krystyna Janda. “Lolu, wonderful, charming, warm, friend of the world and people. Lover of art, antiques and animals. All moments with you were peaceful and enchanted. Your smile and discretion, sense of humor. Goodbye, Friend” – he writes.

“Ladies and gentlemen, extremely sad news: Leonard Pietraszak – a great actor is dead” – writes a colleague from the screen, Grzegorz Damięcki.

Viewers, admirers of the talent of the outstanding actor, write in the comments about the roles that Leonard Pietraszak is particularly associated with.
