Local government elections, second round. Turnout at 5 p.m. – the National Electoral Commission reported

The turnout in the second round of local elections as of 5 p.m. was 33.17 percent, informed the head of the National Electoral Commission, Sylwester Marciniak. The largest number of voters had voted so far in the Odrzywół commune (Przysucha County, Masovian Voivodeship) – 62.51 percent.

The head of the National Electoral Commission, Sylwester Marciniak, provided turnout data during a press conference at 6:30 p.m.

12,017,272 people are entitled to vote on Sunday, and by 5 p.m. 3,986,285 ballots were issued. This means that turnout on a national scale – in places where elections take place – was 33.17 percent.

In previous local elections in 2018, in the second round, at this time the turnout nationwide was 38.73 percent.

The situation in voivodeships and the largest cities

The highest turnout was in the Lublin Voivodeship – 37.50 percent, in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship – 35.85 percent and in the Masovian Voivodeship – 35.32 percent.

The lowest turnout was in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship – 29.51 percent, in the Silesian Voivodeship – 31.13 percent and in the Opole Voivodeship – 31.59 percent.

In the case of provincial cities, the highest turnout up to 17 was recorded in Zielona Góra – 36.48 percent, and the lowest in Wrocław – 25.99 percent.

Turnout at 5 p.m. in other provincial cities:

Kielce – 34.62 percent
Rzeszów – 33.74 percent
Toruń – 32.67 percent
Cracow – 31.79 percent
Olsztyn – 31.45 percent
Poznań – 29.53 percent
Gorzów Wielkopolski – 26.18 percent.

In relation to the number of eligible persons, the most voters voted until 5 p.m. in the Odrzywół commune (Przysucha County, Masovian Voivodeship) – 62.51 percent, and the least in the Miastko commune (Bytów County, Pomeranian Voivodeship) – 21.82 percent.

Earlier, the head of the National Electoral Commission informed that turnout in the second round of local elections as of 12 p.m. was 12.93 percent.

Second round of local government elections

Voting in the second round of local government elections takes place on Sunday and continues until 9 p.m. You must bring a photo ID to the polling station to prove your identity.

Poles elect 748 commune heads, mayors and presidents. Re-voting lasts, among others: in 60 presidential cities, including nine voivodeships: Gorzów Wielkopolski, Kielce, Kraków, Olsztyn, Poznań, Rzeszów, Toruń, Wrocław and Zielona Góra.

Election evening on TVN24

At 8:30 p.m., the Election Evening will begin on TVN24 and TVN24 GO. It will be hosted by Justyna Kosela, Radomir Wit and Mateusz Walczak. TVN24 journalists and reporters will report the exit poll results of the second round of the mayoral elections in Kraków, Wrocław and Rzeszów. In total, they will monitor the situation in 60 cities.
