Fatal accident in the tunnel of the WZ route in Łódź. A man has died who – according to police findings – was walking on a footbridge and for unknown reasons fell onto the road, where he was then hit by a car. The matter is being investigated by the services.
On Monday evening, a man was fatally hit in the tunnel of the WZ route, under the viaduct at Żeromskiego Street in Łódź. – Police officers from Łódź are investigating the circumstances of the tragic incident that occurred around 6:30 p.m. – said Deputy Commissioner Adam Dembiński from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Łódź.
– According to preliminary findings, a man was hit and killed there. The police are securing traces and conducting an examination, added a representative of the KWP press team.

The driver who hit the man was sober and had a driving license. While the services were working, the road leading towards Widzew was closed.
