In Thursday’s “Piasecki’s Conversation” minister – member of the Council of Ministers Agnieszka Ścigaj was asked, among other things, about the most numerous government in the Third Polish Republic, in which 28 ministers sit.
The politician replied that “there are plenty of challenges”. This is a coalition government. There are some areas that are new areas and of course you can talk about reforming some departments or merging certain areas – she added.
– There are more tasks, many challenges. It was also a turning point for our country, she pointed out.
Asked about this issue, Chase said that “we have never had a war either.” “And there were some new security challenges at all levels,” she added.

Czarzasty: They take care that they don’t have a portfolio
Deputy Speaker of the Sejm and co-leader of the New Left Vladimir Czarzasty was asked by TVN24 reporter Agata Adamek what ministers without portfolio – Michał Wójcik or Włodzimierz Tomaszewski – do in the government.
– They’re concerned about not having a portfolio. To the statement that the government is big because there is a war, I have an answer. There is war, but in the team. The simplest element is to increase the number of secretaries and undersecretaries of state, because then we will give everyone something as part of this war, a cookie – he commented.
“When you eat a cookie, you don’t think about the war,” he added.
Mueller: The number of ministers is an issue that is always emotional
– When it comes to issues related to the functioning of the government, this does not only apply to the war, but also to post-covid issues – said government spokesman Piotr Mueller.
He added that “the number of ministers is an issue that is always so emotional.” “However, what is more important is what effects the government has,” he said. He said calls to reduce the number of ministers were “always attractive” but said there were no plans to reshuffle the government.
