In Tuesday's episode of the “Millionaires” program, Mr. Krzysztof Marczak from Dąbrowa Górnicza sat down to play. The man graduated in physics from the Silesian University of Technology and works as a train driver. Additionally, Mr. Krzysztof teaches subjects related to the profession at a railway technical school. When Hubert Urbański read the question worth PLN 125,000, the participant had one lifeline at his disposal – a phone call to a friend.

Mr. Krzysztof noted that none of the countries mentioned has access to the sea, but this does not exclude the possibility of having a merchant navy. The participant also correctly associated the date with World War II. After a moment of reflection, he asked Hubert Urbański to use his last lifeline – a phone call to a friend. Mr. Krzysztof's brother-in-law was waiting on the other end of the phone. According to my brother-in-law, the correct answer was B, but he was not sure. Finally, the participant decided to ask for a definitive marking of answer C. Was it correct?

Merchant Navy

Despite the lack of access to the sea, sea transport developed in Switzerland during World War II. The country's main port is Basel, which has access to Rotterdam via the Rhine River, a city that is also one of the largest seaports in the world. Therefore, the correct answer is C.

New episodes of “Millionaires” can be watched from Monday to Thursday at 20:55 on TVN i Player (all previous seasons of the program are available on the website).
