Police officers from Mińsk Mazowiecki were looking for a young woman who did not return from leave to the correctional facility. At one of the selected addresses they found a man who firmly claimed that the woman they were looking for was not there. However, the police were suspicious of a bouquet of flowers in the room.
As Staff Sergeant Elżbieta Zagórska said in a press release, a week ago the District Police Headquarters in Mińsk Mazowiecki received a report that one of the charges from a nearby correctional facility did not return to the facility on the scheduled date after being furloughed. The case was dealt with by the Mińsk patrol. They determined several possible addresses for the woman. One of them was an apartment in Mińsk Mazowiecki.
A bouquet of fresh flowers and wanted in the wardrobe
“When the officers knocked on the door, a 40-year-old man opened the door. When informed about the reason for the police’s visit, he stated that he was alone in the apartment and firmly denied that the woman in question was staying there,” the policewoman said. She added that a bouquet of fresh flowers caught the attention of the uniformed officers. Therefore, they decided to check it thoroughly. While checking the rooms, they found the wanted 20-year-old woman who hid from the officers in a closet.
As Staff Sergeant Zagórska summarized, the woman went straight from the intervention to a correctional facility.
