She explained that clicking on the link contained in the message takes the potential victim to a phishing website designed in the style of a portal login panel. “It is worth noting that in addition to the login and password, fraudsters also extort the second authentication component needed for logging in,” NASK noted. She also emphasized that the hijacked accounts could then be used by criminals for blackmail or to commit further fraud on the social networking site.
