The man being transported to the Piaseczno court for trial attacked the escorts and escaped. A manhunt is underway.
The incident took place in the morning in the square in front of the courthouse. – The detained 36-year-old was transported from the prison in Grójec to the District Court in Piaseczno – told us Rafał Jeżak from the press team of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Radom.
At one point, he attacked one of the officers with such force that the officer lost consciousness. The second officer tried to subdue the man, but failed. The man ran away, he added.
One of the policemen has light scratches, the other is after tests in the hospital. An alarm was announced by the unit in Piaseczno.
– A manhunt is underway – confirms Magdalena Gąsowska, spokeswoman for the Piaseczno police.
A helicopter is involved in the activities. The control department, as we found out, checks whether all procedures have been followed.
