A 78-year-old and a 65-year-old from Pleszew (Greater Poland) were charged with electoral bribery. The man allegedly paid the woman PLN 100 for voting for his son, who was running for the council. According to the prosecutor's office, she was supposed to accept cash.
On April 7, a person reported to the police station saying that at one of the polling stations in Pleszew.an older man offers voters a payment for voting for the candidate he chooses.
The case was handled by the District Prosecutor's Office in Pleszew. Investigators initiated explanatory proceedings to check whether electoral bribery had occurred. Accepting a material or personal advantage or demanding a benefit for voting in a certain way is punishable by up to five years in prison. The same penalty shall be imposed on anyone who provides a material or personal benefit to a person entitled to vote in order to induce him or her to vote in a specific way.
Charges for two people
As part of the proceedings, the following items were secured: surveillance recordings. As a result, two people were charged – a 78-year-old and a 65-year-old.

The suspects did not admit to the crimes they were accused of and exercised their right to remain silent.
The 78-year-old's son won the seat.
