On Monday, May 6, the attention of police officers from the Płock SPEED group was caught by the driver of a Fiat. According to the police in Wyszogród, he exceeded the speed limit. “The man, despite the signs and signals issued by the uniformed officers, had no intention of stopping for a police check,” the subcommand described in the statement. The policemen gave chase. “A few kilometers away, the fugitive, thinking he would lose the police patrol, wanted to enter the forest and hit a tree,” Jakubowska added. The man started to run away on foot, but was caught up by police officers and detained.
“The test showed that he was sober. However, he had a driving ban for repeated driving without a license,” the policewoman said. The 28-year-old was charged. For failing to stop for a police check and driving a vehicle despite a court ban, he faces up to 5 years in prison.
