Radomski Air Show is the largest aviation event of this type in this part of Europe. The organizers expect about 180,000 spectators. All tickets for Saturday have already been sold. Over two days, over 50 machines in the air and on the ground, and over 70 units of land equipment will be presented.

At the airport in Radom, there is a picnic atmosphere from the morning. It’s sunny, hot and noisy. All the time you can hear the roar of the engines of passing machines. Aviation enthusiasts visit the static exhibition with their whole families or – sitting on the grass – rest and watch sky shows.

What machines can you see?

Attractions for spectators include: the latest acquisition of the Air Force aircraft FA-50 with a white and red checkerboard. Korean machines will soon replace the old Soviet-made MIG-29s.

Military aviation enthusiasts watch with interest min. Czech JAS-39 Gripen, Finnish F/A-18 Hornet, French Rafale, British Typhoon. A real treat for viewers is also the KC-135 air tanker from the Illinois National Guard USA.

For fans of militaria, an exhibition of equipment and armament of all types of armed forces has been prepared – from the Land Forces, through Special Forces, Territorial Defense Forces, to the Navy; as well as equipment at the disposal of military schools and NATO allied forces stationed in Poland. These include the first Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial systems, AW-101, S-70i helicopters. You can also see modern equipment recently purchased for the Polish Army – including: K2 Czarna Pantera, M1A1 Abrams, K9 Thunder, systems – HIMARS, PATRIOT, PILICA and the new BWP Borsuk and BAOBAB-K.

Aerobatic shows

The program of the event includes the audience liked the shows of the Polish aerobatic groups Å»elazny, Orlik and Cellfast Flying Team, as well as guests from Switzerland – Patrouille Suisse with Northrop F-5E Tiger II aircraft.

Many Air Show participants are also waiting for this year’s novelty – night shows with pyrotechnic effects, which are to last until 2 p.m. 21.

International air shows in Radom are usually organized every two years. The last time the event was held in 2018, when it was attended by over 160,000 people. viewers. The five-year break was related to the pandemic and the expansion of the Warsaw-Radom airport. This year’s seventeenth event is dedicated to the celebration of Aviation Day and the 90th anniversary of the successful flight of Capt. drink StanisÅ‚aw SkarżyÅ„ski on the Atlantic Ocean. The organizer of the shows is the Military Property Agency and the General Command of the Branches of the Armed Forces.
