The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the tasks for Polish foreign policy – In such difficult conditions, cooperation is needed not only within the ruling coalition, but also with those representatives of the opposition who are ready to cooperate – Sikorski emphasized. As the current head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, noted, before his joint visit to the United States with the president, he wrote: “I differ politically from President Andrzej Duda in almost everything, but when it comes to the security of our homeland, we must and will act together. Not only during the visit in Usa”. – And that's how we operate, said the minister.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assessed that the previous eight years of Polish foreign policy “were a series of failed ideological assumptions, bad ideas, wrong decisions and omissions.” In this context, he mentioned, among others: “chronic conflict” with the EU institutions due to the politicization of independent courts.

Szejna: today Radosław Sikorski showed what modern diplomacy should look like

Speaking about Sikorski's speech, Szejna said that “it was indeed a huge breakthrough, both intellectual and diplomatic.” – I was proud today, listening to Minister Sikorski's speech, because he broke all the stereotypes that Polish diplomacy must be backward, anti-German, anti-European, anti-anything. No, he is pro, he emphasized.

– Today Radosław Sikorski showed what modern diplomacy should look like and what direction we are heading in. And above all, we have already covered a few topics. Of course, I don't want to brag here, because this is a common success, billions from the European Union will flow, and hard work had to be done, which was also done by Professor Bodnar – he said.

As he said, he accompanied President Andrzej Duda during his visit to the United States and Canada. – And everywhere I saw that Polish diplomacy and position had increased, as did our prestige. This means effectiveness, and the most important issue that can be achieved is support for Ukraine – added the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Kobosko: Poland returns to the international arena

Kobosko said that “there is a slogan that sounds a bit pompous in a foreign language: Poland is back. Poland is coming back.”

– Poland is returning to the international arena, but it is true because we both participate in many international meetings. And when you travel around Europe or to the United States, there is such a renewed interest in Poland. There is a smile for good morning. There is a huge credit of trust today because there is a feeling that Poland has been self-isolating for the past eight years – he said.

As he added, “no one pushed us out of nowhere, no one isolated us, but the authorities in Warsaw believed that everyone was harming us, everyone wanted to harm us in some way in the international arena. Exploit, cheat, rob and so on.” “. – And you can't function with such prejudices – Kobosko pointed out.

– When Minister Sikorski spoke today, when I listened to him and then acted on behalf of our club in reaction to this speech, I noticed that after eight years Poland is coming back, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also coming back, which in the PiS concept was barely it functioned, barely existed, barely had any image. It certainly did not create Polish foreign policy, and that is the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a democracy, he added.
