Rajszew. Fatal hit of a cyclist near Legionowo

A tragic accident took place on Thursday evening on the provincial road number 630 near the town of Rajszew, in the Legionowo poviat. According to the police, preliminary findings show that the cyclist was hit by a BMW car. He was resuscitated. Unfortunately, his life could not be saved.

– Three of our hosts were on the spot, as well as the police and an ambulance. An LPR helicopter was also landing. It was a cyclist hit. The road is completely blocked in both directions, said Łukasz Szulborski from the fire brigade in Legionowo.

Artur Węgrzynowicz, tvnwarszawa.pl reporter, was there. – The collision occurred on a pedestrian crossing with a bicycle crossing. A cyclist was passing by, and a BMW driver was driving in the direction of Jabłonna. The impact was very strong, he said.

The police received a report of the incident at 20.09.

– Initial information shows that the cyclist was hit by a BMW car. The cyclist was resuscitated. Unfortunately, he died. The driver of the BMW has been checked for sobriety, he is sober, informed Małgorzata Wersocka from the Warsaw police.

The cause of the incident is being investigated.
