A small yacht caught fire in Stepnica, West Pomeranian Voivodeship. Six people were injured, including three children. – They have first-degree burns of the lower and upper limbs – informed the spokesman of the Provincial Police Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Szczecin, junior brigadier Thomas Kubiak.
Firefighters received a report of a yacht fire in the bay of the Zalew Szczeciński in Stepnica in the Goleniów district on Saturday a few minutes after 6 pm.
As reported by Brig. Kubiak, five fire brigade units were dispatched to the rescue and firefighting operation.
Seven people from the yacht, as indicated by the fireman, were taken from the water by bystanders. Six of them, including three children, are injured. – They have first-degree burns of the lower and upper limbs – said junior brig. Kubiak.
