In the municipality of Botkyrka near Stockholm, local gangsters decided to dismiss crime-fighting mayor Ebby Oestlin. This was possible thanks to the admission to the Workers’ Party – Social Democrats of new members, among whom there are criminals – according to Swedish media.
According to the newspaper Aftonbladet, Oestlin lost her party’s recommendation to govern the commune by a majority of 91 votes to 88 at a party meeting over the weekend.
Recently, 50 new members were admitted to the group, as it turned out at the meeting, among them gangsters and their followers from Varbynatverket (a gang from the Varby estate in Botkyrka). newspaper.

The mayor of Oestlin is known for fighting crime. Under her rule, the ABF organization associated with the social democrats, the contract for running several day centers for children and youth, was terminated. According to Nadina Rosengren from the Social Democrats’ staff in Botkyrka, the ABF organization is behind the recruitment of 50 new party members.
In 2020, in Botkyrka, a town inhabited by 95,000 people, 60 percent of whom has a non-Swedish origin, 12-year-old Adriana was accidentally killed by bullets from automatic weapons. According to police, the Varbynatverket gang was involved in the shooting.
