Yesterday, our activist managed to hand the letter to President Zełenski, informed Michał Kołodziejczak from Agrounia in the “Tak jest” program on TVN24. – Trade relations must be normalized as soon as possible, because they will have a very negative impact on relations between Poles and Ukrainians – he added. In turn, PSL spokesman Miłosz Motyka assessed that “Minister Kowalczyk, with full responsibility and premeditation, lied to the Polish countryside.”

The guests of the “Tak jest” program on TVN24 were Michał Kołodziejczak from Agrounia and Miłosz Motyka, spokesman PSL. They commented on the current situation of Polish farmers. During the president’s visit yesterday Ukraine Volodymyr Zełenski in Warsaw, the issue of Ukrainian grain was raised. – We found a way out; in the coming days/weeks there will be a final solution to this issue, President Zelensky said. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki He said that both sides “offered each other a solution on this matter.” He added that “it is to be implemented quickly.” The opening of a new railway border crossing between Rawa Ruska and Hrebenne was also announced.

Letter to the President of Ukraine: we count on an answer, we count on real action

Michał Kołodziejczak said on TVN24 that he did not know the details of this proposal. We don’t have any specific information. Yesterday, our activist managed to hand over the letter I wrote to President Zelensky, he said.

– The most important message (of the letter – editor’s note) is that trade relations must be normalized as soon as possible, because if they continue to develop in this way, they will have a very negative impact on relations between Poles and Ukrainians. We cannot say that this is aid if part of our society bears high costs, he stressed.

He added: “We are counting on an answer, we are counting on real action.”

– It must be said that our diplomacy, our politicians have done absolutely nothing. On the one hand, we see President Zelensky here, and on the other hand, we see what is happening in the European Commission and the Committee on International Trade, which took place on March 21. MEPs from PIS they didn’t raise the subject of tariffs at all. We can see that our politicians, Deputy Prime Minister Kowalczyk and other politicians have said that this issue cannot be solved because it is a European issue. Where is diplomacy activated here, where are the guidelines? Kolodziejczak asked.

Act on the protection of Polish agriculture

Miłosz Motyka stressed that in July last year, PSL submitted an act on the protection of Polish agriculture. “We signed the deposit system,” he said. – The act does not have a negative opinion of the Sejm Research Bureau – he noted and added that “there are already exceptions in the regulations of the European Council in the field of customs law that introduce such possibilities”.

The TVN24 guest said that the law states that “the uncontrolled influx of Ukrainian goods increasingly destabilizes the domestic market.”

Motyka also talked about the resignation of Henryk Kowalczyk from the position of the head of the Ministry of Agriculture. – The fact that Minister Kowalczyk was dismissed is very good. But the fact that one loser has been replaced with another does not change anything, assessed Miłosz Motyka.

– You must not trust the ministers of this government, because anyone who trusts will get a pocket. We have such losers in the government – said the PSL spokesman.

Over one hundred thousand farms were liquidated

Michał Kołodziejczak pointed out that “Kowalczyk employed six hopeless deputy ministers in the ministry.” – This is sick. There are people from four political options, just to make the ruling coalition tighten. It’s all about rolling from term to term, he said.

In turn, the PSL spokesman emphasized that “this is the fifth Minister of Agriculture in the 7 years of PiS rule”. – Is this a carousel? – He was asking.

– Kowalczyk, when he was a minister, signed an agreement with agricultural unions. In the first point, he wrote that he obliged the PiS government to introduce tariffs. Even then, Minister Kowalczyk knew that this was a point that would not be implemented – he said.

He assessed that “Minister Kowalczyk, with full responsibility and premeditation, lied to the Polish countryside.” “And now we have another minister who is a traitor to the Polish countryside,” he said. – For several years, from the beginning of this term, Robert Telus was the head of the parliamentary agriculture committee. He did nothing for the Polish farmer – he added.

Miłosz Motyka also emphasized that over 100,000 farms were liquidated during the rule of PiS.
