On Sunday, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki referred to the criticism that Deputy Minister of Agriculture Janusz Kowalski issued on Wednesday against the EU Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski. – Minister Kowalski sometimes goes ahead of the ranks – he said. He advised the two politicians to “sit down and talk”.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Janusz Kowalski critically assesses the activities of Commissioner Wojciechowski, among others in the face of a crisis related to the influx of Ukrainian grain to Poland. On Wednesday, Kowalski was asked on RMF FM radio whether he thought Wojciechowski should leave his position.

– In my opinion, if he had the honor, he would resign, I believe so. Because due to what politicians and from what option we delegate to the European Commission, there is one basic principle – a hard fight for Polish interests (…). Mr. Wojciechowski is on the other side, he is a Eurocrat, he is a colleague (head of the European Commission – ed.) Ursula von der Leyen – said the politician of Solidarna Polska.

Prime Minister Morawiecki was asked about this assessment of Wojciechowski by Kowalski at a Sunday press conference in Pszczew (Lubuskie Province).
