Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that one of Russia’s goals, the “demilitarization” of Ukraine, had been “largely achieved.” He added, in line with the propaganda narrative of the Russian regime, that NATO countries, led by the United States, “are increasingly involved in this conflict” and “have become its party”. “This forces Russia to take more decisive measures to ensure the security of the people of Donbass and the Russian Federation,” Peskov said.
