Late in the afternoon on Sunday, a fire broke out in a block of flats in Targówek. Firefighters evacuated a woman who was standing in the window. She was hospitalized with severe burns.
Firemen received information about the fire in the apartment on the second floor at 115 Korzona Street after 5 pm. – Upon arrival, they found a developed apartment fire and a woman standing in the window. She was evacuated with a hoist. She was taken to the hospital with extensive burns to her body and respiratory tract. Her condition was severe – Szymon Kisieliński from the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Warsaw told us.
He added that about 30 people were also evacuated from the building.
Firefighters extinguished the fire. Activities ended around 6:30 p.m. – Six of our hosts took part in the firefighting operation – added the firefighter.
