On Friday, an electric car worth about one million zlotys burned down in Niepodległości Avenue. His driver wanted to avoid a collision with another car, lost control of the vehicle and hit a pole. The car caught fire. Kontakt 24 received a recording showing the moment of impact.
The recording is of poor quality and was taken quite far from the place of the incident. At the beginning you can see the car suddenly leaving the road and hitting a traffic light pole. Smoke appears first, but after a few seconds the vehicle bursts into flames.
Lucid Air burned down on Niepodległości Avenue
The incident took place on Friday around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Niepodległości Avenue and Madalińskiego Street. According to the police's preliminary findings, the driver of a Lucid car, driving along Niepodległości Avenue towards the center, probably in order to avoid a collision with another car, made a sudden maneuver and hit a traffic light pole. The Lucid air car is a great rarity on our roads. The car that burned down was registered in Poland, and according to Marcin Orzepiński from TVN Turbo, it is probably the only such car in our country. The car has been produced since 2021 by the American company Lucid Motors.
