This weekend, drivers traveling Chmielna will face difficulties. The street will get new asphalt. It will be located under the newly built Varso office complex on the corner with Aleja Jana Pawła II. The section will be closed for the duration of the works.
Chmielna Street will gain new asphalt on the section from Aleja Jana Pawła II to the speed bump, near the building at number 106 and the entrance to the Varso 1 building. A private investor is responsible for replacing the surface.
Renovation will begin on Friday, March 24, at 22. Then this part of the street will be completely closed to traffic (also for access to the property) and parking. The pedestrian crossing through Chmielna will be slightly narrowed for the duration of the works. The bicycle route will remain unchanged.
What detours?
Drivers will avoid the obstacles in two ways. From Aleja Jana Pawła II, they will be able to turn into Złota Street and reach Żelazna or, having passed Chmielna, turn into Aleje Jerozolimskie and thus also reach Żelazna.
The work will end on Sunday, March 26, at 18.
