City guards intervened against an aggressive man who was swinging a telescopic baton near a bus stop in Warsaw's Bródno district. When he saw the officers, he ate a plastic bag of marijuana to cover up the evidence of the crime. Additionally, he attacked the guards.
The incident took place last Wednesday. After 2 p.m., city guards from the 6th Regional Department noticed at the intersection of Św. Wincentego and Rogowska, a young man who was swinging a metal telescopic baton, scaring passengers waiting for the bus. The officers immediately intervened. Upon seeing the approaching patrol, the man put the “telescope” in his bag. The guards took the bag containing the dangerous item from him and asked him the reason for such behavior.
The telephone made him nervous
– The man was very agitated and aggressive. He replied that he was irritated by… the telephone. In the sachet I received, I noticed a bulging bag with brown-green dried plants. When I reached for it, the man pushed me away, grabbed the bag, put it in his mouth and… swallowed it, said the patrol guard who intervened, quoted in the release.
A 25-year-old resident of Zielonka admitted that the bag contained about five grams of marijuana, which he ate to cover up the trace of the crime – because he already has a suspended sentence and he does not want to go to prison. The man became more and more aggressive. He struggled and pushed the officers, trying to escape. He calmed down only when the guard and guard put handcuffs on him.
Police officers called to the scene decided to arrest the 25-year-old in connection with violating the inviolability of city guard officers. “Earlier, however, the imprudent consumer of evidence of crime was taken to hospital to avoid possible health complications resulting from swallowing the plastic bag and its contents,” the statement said.
