The dangerous event took place on Młynarska Street, at the Długosza stop. The passenger transport driver hit a 5-year-old boy who was getting off the tram with his grandmother.
– The incident happened at 10.53 at the Długosza stop towards the center (this is the stop where you get off onto the road – ed.). A car transporting people hit a five-year-old child getting off the tram line 24, who was under the care of his grandmother, said Maciej Dutkiewicz, spokesman for Warsaw Trams. He noted that the child was taken to the ambulance, but everything indicates that nothing serious happened to him. Police confirmed that the child did not require transport to the hospital.
The Public Transport Authority informed about the difficulties in the traffic of tram lines 20, 23 and 24. The trains have been diverted.
