On the S8 route, a driver who got out of the car to help another driver with an epileptic attack was hit. She was taken to the hospital with a serious leg injury.
The incident took place on the roadway of the S8 route in the direction of Marki between Mickiewicz and Gdańska. As Szymon Kisieliński from the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Warsaw told us, the driver of the passenger car stopped when another car stopped in front of her.
– It turned out that in this car there was a driver suffering from epilepsy who had a seizure while driving. The driver got out to see what was going on. Then she was hit by another traffic participant, the firefighter described the accident.
The woman was provided with qualified pre-medical aid on the spot. – A rescue team arrived at the scene and took the victim to the hospital. The woman suffered a leg injury and general bruises, explained Kisieliński.
The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways warns of difficulties. Two lanes in the direction of Bialystok are blocked.
