The police detained a 37-year-old man suspected of possessing a significant amount of drugs and psychotropic substances. In the man’s apartment, they found one and a half kilograms of marijuana and cocaine and PLN 197,000.
Officers from the downtown operational and reconnaissance department determined that the 37-year-old may be selling drugs and psychotropic substances via one of the online messengers and detained the man in the center of Warsaw.
– The 37-year-old, at the request of criminal investigators, voluntarily gave four packages of psychotropic drugs, thinking that in this way he would put the policemen’s vigilance to rest and reduce the scale of his criminal liability. However, the policemen knew perfectly well that the man was lying and that what he had with him was only a substitute for what he was really hiding, said Robert Szumiata from the Warsaw I District Police Headquarters.
He added that in the 37-year-old’s coat pocket, criminals found a set of keys with a chip from the electronic lock, but the man did not want to say where he lived. He also did not have any documents with him that could help officers find his address.
They found half a kilo of drugs in the apartment
– Despite the lack of cooperation from the detainee, the criminals quickly determined where the 37-year-old lives. After entering the premises, they found the detained man’s documents and several bags of marijuana and cocaine with a total weight of nearly one and a half kilograms. In addition, the criminals revealed 1,440 psychotropic tablets, two electronic scales for dosing drugs and PLN 197,000 that may come from crime, Robert Szumiata reported.
The 37-year-old was charged with possession of a significant amount of drugs and psychotropic substances. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
