Weather for May 2023. Forecast for the long weekend

In the night from Saturday to Sunday, an atmospheric front associated with the Udo and Vasco lows from Scandinavia is still moving over Poland, Arleta Unton-Pyziołek, the weather forecaster, told tvnmeteo.pl. On Sunday and Monday, however, Poland will be covered by a clear high from over Central Europe, bringing with it clearing up and the disappearance of precipitation. On Sunday, the country will remain in a moderately warm mass of polar air, but on Monday the heat will push harder, locally raising the temperature in the south to 19-20 degrees Celsius.

On Tuesday, a low-pressure vortex from southern Europe will push a rain front and a portion of very humid air over Poland, which means a new supply of rainfall and thunderstorms, but within the spring normal range. At the same time, it will increase the air temperature in the south, where it may exceed 20 degrees C. From Wednesday, after the atmospheric front moves east, cold air of arctic origin will begin to flow from the north, bringing another wave of cold and night frosts. This year there is a good chance that the Cold Gardeners will come a little earlier.

Sunday 30.04 it promises to be clear throughout the country, only initially there will be more clouds in the east and showers of up to 3 liters of rain per square meter. Thermometers will show from 11 degrees C in Warmia, through 14 degrees C in the center of the country to 15-16 degrees C in the south of Poland. The wind will be north-west, weak and moderate, only in the east at times stronger.

IN Monday 01.05 sunny weather prevails in Poland. On thermometers we will see from 14 degrees C in the Suwałki Region, through 17 degrees C in the central regions to 19 degrees C in Lower Silesia. There will be a southerly light to moderate wind.

Tuesday 02.05 it will bring cloudy weather with rainfall up to 10-20 l/sq m, progressing from the south inland. Thunderstorms with hail are expected in the belt from Silesia through central regions to Podlasie. The maximum temperature will be from 14 degrees C in Pomerania, through 18 degrees C in central Poland to 22 degrees C in Podkarpacie. Winds from the southwest and west will be moderate, with strong thunderstorms.

On Wednesday 03.05 Cloudy skies are expected in the country, but there will be clear periods during the day. Residents of the eastern regions are waiting for showers of up to 5 l / sq m. Thermometers will show from 11 degrees C in Podlasie, through 13 degrees C in the center of the country to 15 degrees C in Silesia. Northwest and west winds will blow, light to moderate.

The first day after May, Thursday 04.05, it will pass under the sign of moderate and heavy cloudy clouds. The maximum temperature during the day will be from 12 degrees C in Podkarpacie to 15 degrees C in the center of Poland, Lubuska Land and Lower Silesia. The wind will be variable, light and moderate.
