Two men decided to steal pansy seedlings in the middle of the day, which were in a pot in the center of Wyrzysk (Greater Poland Voivodeship). They were detained after a few hours.
On Friday, the police received information that pansies had been stolen on Młyńska Street in Wyrzysk, which were in a decorative pot and were a decorative element of the city. – Police officers arrived on site and confirmed that ten seedlings had actually been stolen, says Staff Sergeant Wojciech Zeszot, press officer of the Piła police.
They were recorded and caught
As it turned out, the perpetrators of the theft were recorded by a witness. – When the police saw this recording, they had no problems recognizing the men and establishing their identity, because they knew them from previous interventions – explains Zeszot.
The perpetrators were residents of the Wyrzysk commune, aged 59 and 69. The value of the losses is estimated at PLN 25. – Misdemeanor proceedings are being carried out against the men. For committing theft, the court may impose a sentence of arrest, restriction of liberty or a fine of up to PLN 5,000 – concludes Zeszot.
