This is this one day, this is this moment, and then we work for 365 days to talk about this moment – said Jerzy Owsiak, president of WOŚP, in “Fakty po Faktach”, talking about the finals of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity collected PLN 281,879,118.07 during the 32nd Finale – announced the president of the Foundation, Jerzy Owsiak, on Wednesday. This is another record in the history of WOŚP. Funds were collected for “lungs after the pandemic”.

Owsiak: there is such a spirit in us – we can be together
Jerzy Owsiak was a guest of “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24. – This is the spirit within us. We have this Polish spirit, no matter how we change it in various ways, no matter how we talk about it, which works well during sporting events, which works when at some point we have – it seems to us – a very uphill climb and suddenly we can become so tense and be with each other – he said when asked about the reasons for another record result of the Orchestra.
– It's in us. If someone asks us – and we ask as the Foundation: “let's all do something together” – if there is a lot of positive message, friendship, love for one's neighbor in all this, the answer is always the same – he added. As he said, “there is nothing big here, but more about consistency.”

– This code of human being together has shown for the 32nd time that it works. This code, which has also been disturbed very much for the last eight years, because the system did not cooperate with us – said Owsiak. Speaking about the Orchestra's finals, he said that “this is one day, this is this moment, and then we work for 365 days to talk about this moment.”
Owsiak: this has to be settled until the very end
On Tuesday and Wednesday, at the request of prosecutors from the Justice Fund investigative team, they were carried out searches in various places throughout the country. Their purpose is to secure evidence, including documentation regarding the fund. Services appeared, among others: in Zbigniew Ziobro's house.
One of the allegations in this case concerns priest Michał O.president of the Profeto Church Foundation, which received a record subsidy from Ziobro's ministry amounting to nearly PLN 100 million
As Owsiak commented on the case, “this must be settled until the very end.” – Let it hurt, let it hurt those who shout that it is lawlessness. Let it hurt those who did it, but it must be fixed to the very end so that we, Poles, creating anything, supporting any foundation, giving them a zloty or a penny, are aware of the enormous responsibility – he added.
– We have public money, here was public money, it is a hundred times worse. (…) It builds our lives, it builds democracy and it builds honesty, which we must recreate in all our actions, he said. – That's why there is anger, of course, 280 million (collected during the 32nd Final – ed.), it is such a huge work of people all over the world – he added.
– We always say: look around and see who next to you is doing something very well. If he does it very well, support him, but check it, read it, don't go blindly, don't give the money blindly – he said.
