In almost every fifth commune in Poland, there will be a plebiscite instead of elections. Never before in Poland have there been so many towns in local government elections where only one person is running for one position in local authorities. Residents will not choose candidates, they will only vote for or against this one candidate. Moreover, in some municipalities voters will not even receive a ballot for councilors.
