7-Eleven, a US-based chain of convenience stores, plans to expand in Europe and is looking for franchisees in several countries on the Old Continent. Poland is on the list. This means that Żabka Polska may gain a major competitor.

7-Eleven is looking for experienced franchisees to open outlets in Europe. The network is mainly looking for people who already run a business in the retail, catering or hotel industry, reported the German weekly “Lebensmittel Zeitung”.

7-Eleven in Poland?

Convenience stores are expected to appear in GermanyFrance, IrelandItaly, Poland, Spain, Turkey and Great Britain. may also be taken into account Austria and Switzerland, according to the German newspaper. Benelux countries are not included in the plans. 7-Eleven stores are already present in Denmark and Sweden.

The plans of the 7-Eleven network to enter our country mean that Carrefour Express and Żabka Polska may gain a major competitor. The network of small and comfortable shops with a characteristic green logo has 9,310 shops. On the other hand, nearly half a thousand points operate under the Carrefour Express brand.

For now, it is not known how many stores 7-Eleven plans to open in Poland.
