border guards said that this is another example of Belarusian services participating in illegal border crossings, which not only indicate places, but also help in crossing the external border of the European Union.

In the communiqué published on Thursday by the Podlasie Border Guard Department, it is said that the services of Belarus they drove the migrants close to the border, this time choosing the railway tracks as the place of its illegal crossing. It was reported that the test took place just after midnight, on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, near Kuźnica.

As described by the Guard, the Belarusian services brought six people to the area of ​​​​the railway line connecting Belarus with Poland. “Due to the fact that rail traffic runs all the time on this section, the intersection of the tracks with the state border line does not have a physical barrier, but is covered by an electronic security system” – explained.

The Border Guard showed a film to show these events. Markers were placed on the recording, which are supposed to indicate the cars of the Belarusian services, the immigrants, and then the patrols of the Border Guard.

As reported, the group was detained just after crossing over to the Polish side. There were two Iranians and four Syrians.

According to the data of the Border Guard, since the beginning of the year there have been over two thousand attempts to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border. Last year, a 5.5-meter-high steel dam was erected on a 186-kilometre-long section of the border with Belarus.

The construction of the electronic firewall, which is being built on a little over 200 kilometers and is a system of cameras and sensors, has not yet been completed. So far, seven sections of perimetry (motion detection and monitoring system consisting of many sensors and cameras – ed.) have been put into operation, with a total length of 127 kilometers. Four more, approximately 78 kilometers long, remain to be commissioned, but their acceptance will be postponed because the delivery of thermal imaging cameras is delayed.

Migration crisis on the borders of Belarus and Poland, Lithuania and became Latvia triggered in August 2021 by the regime of Alyaksandr Lukashenkowho is accused of waging hybrid warfare in this way. This consists in the organized transfer of migrants to the borders of the territory of these three countries. During the 27 years of his rule, Lukashenka has often threatened Europe with weakening border controls.

The action of attracting migrants to Belarus from the Middle East or Africa to trigger migration crisis, Tadeusz Giczan, a journalist of the Belarusian opposition channel Nexta, described on his blog in the summer of 2021. In it, he explained that the Belarusian services were conducting the “Sluice” operation invented 10 years ago in this way: under the guise of trips to Minsk, promising to transfer them to the European Union, the Lukashenko regime brought thousands of migrants to Belarus. Then he took them to the border European Union countrieswhere Belarusian services force them to cross them illegally.

This operation is still ongoing.
