A nine-year-old boy was injured and transported by a helicopter of the Polish Medical Air Rescue to the hospital after an accident on the A4 motorway in Biadoliny Szlacheckie (MaĆopolskie Voivodeship). According to police, there was a collision between two passenger cars that were traveling in the same direction.
The accident happened on Sunday (May 21) on the A4 motorway on the Brzesko-TarnĂłw section. As the staff officer PaweĆ Klimek, spokesman for the TarnĂłw police, tells us, there was a collision of two passenger cars that were going in the same direction – towards RzeszĂłw.
– One was traveled by a family from Poland with children, the other was driven by a woman with Ukraine. As a result of the accident, a nine-year-old boy fell out of one of the cars, suffered serious leg injuries and was transported by a helicopter of the Polish Medical Air Rescue to a hospital in Krakow, a press officer of the TarnĂłw police told us.
Operations are underway at the scene to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
As Klimek informed, the traffic at the accident site will be blocked at least until 3 p.m. The police direct diversions at the Brzesko junction.
