Fatal accident in Borcz (Pomeranian Voivodeship). Police said the 37-year-old driver left the roadway and crashed into a tree. According to firefighters, his car “hung on a tree”.
The fatal accident on the national road No. 20, on the Żukowo-Kościerzyna section, involving a bus, occurred on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday.
– According to the preliminary findings of the officers, the 37-year-old Renault driver, for unknown reasons, drove to the right side of the road on the bend and hit a roadside tree – said the press officer of the Kartuzy police, Sgt. Aldona Domaszk.
In the photos shared by friends from the Hopowo Volunteer Fire Brigade, you can see that the driver rammed road signs, fence, and finally – as reported by rescuers – hung on a tree.

The man died on the spot.
– The police technician secured the traces, inspected the accident site and prepared photographic documentation – informed the policewoman. And she added that the circumstances of the incident will be clarified under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
The road closures lasted until the morning. First, the road was blocked, then a shuttle service was introduced.
