Two people were taken to hospital after a gas explosion in a two-storey residential building in Chełmża (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship). The rubble is being searched. Sixteen fire engines are on the scene.
The explosion took place on Thursday in a two-story single-family building at Wodna Street in Chełmża.

The duty officer from the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service informed PAP on Thursday evening that two people had been taken to the hospital and the rubble was being searched. Sixteen fire engines are on the scene. There is a suspicion that up to five people could have been in the building.

Rescue dogs from Poznań and Gdańsk were dispatched to the site, the transport of which is ongoing. – We don’t have any more details at the moment. At the moment, two people have been transported to the hospital, the duty officer said.
The left side of the building where the explosion took place is destroyed.
