Someone took skis from a rescuer from the Bieszczady Mountain Volunteer Rescue Group. The equipment disappeared in front of the building of the ski station in Chyrowa (Podkarpackie Province). Rescuers are looking for witnesses to the incident, and the owner of the equipment appeals for its return. “It’s hard to work on the slopes without skis,” he says.
The incident took place on Friday (February 10) at the ski station in Chyrowa in the Krosno poviat. Information about the event was posted on Facebook by the Bieszczadzka Grupa GOPR. From the entry we learn that in front of the building where the ticket offices are located, someone stole skis from the ski lifeguard on duty. “If any of you were skiing in this place at the time and could help in regaining them – please contact us!” – the rescuers are appealing on social media.

He left his skis in front of the building, when he left, they were gone
– I’m here on duty. I left my skis in front of the building. When I went outside some time later, I noticed that they were not there – tells us the lifeguard who lost the equipment. Thanks to him – as he emphasizes – he can work and help on the slope.
– I got these skis a few years ago from GOPR. This is high-class equipment, light, carbon skis, for which you have to pay about four thousand zlotys. They served me for years until Friday. It’s good that there is an equipment rental shop nearby. The owner lent me skis, on which I now ride and work – emphasizes the lifeguard.

They have surveillance. They are waiting for the return of the skis. “We will try to contact this person”
As our interlocutor informs, the building from which the equipment was lost is being monitored. We managed to secure a recording on which – according to the lifeguard – you can see a person taking skis. “I don’t know if someone did it on purpose or by mistake. We will try to make contact with this person, if he does not return the skis by the deadline, we will inform the police about the case – the lifeguard told us.
Until then, the lifeguard will work on borrowed equipment.
